It’s not every day that we get a phone call from a groom, period. It is certainly not every day that we get a call from a groom who knows our work as well as Ross does. Our first encounter went a little something like this: “Kate, I just proposed to my girlfriend, Lindsay and we don’t know much about what we want for our wedding yet, but we know one thing, it is that we want you. Do you have any available dates this summer?” - I knew right then and there that we would be instant friends. I hung up the phone and wanted more than anything to work with this couple. The connection was there and I knew that our photo sessions were going to be incredible.
After spending a sunny Sunday in Madison, WI with them + their 1 year old yellow lab Jackson, I learned that I was right on about my instincts of Ross + Lindsay. They are two amazing people that I feel so lucky to be getting to know better (and I can’t really describe them any better than that). We created engagement photos for them, shared frufru coffee drinks together, hung out on the Terrace, played catch with Jackson, and gave ourselves a mini-tour of the state capitol. It was really a double date in Madtown. Sam + I were able to meet up with some new friends and create pretty art for them at the same time.
While my interest was focused on the kissing R+L, Sam’s attention was on Jackson. :)

We found ourselves on the terrace where there were two perfectly placed chairs for Ross + Lindsay.
If you couldn’t already tell, they are completely adorable together.
… and this is where it started to get a little steamy. I love steamy.
Kissing on the rooftop with your favorite person, it doesn’t get any better than that.
We really loved the following piece of our session- I mean, I was jumping up and down while taking these frames, and I almost fell down these stairs- love.
They totally make the next few images what they are, oh my my.
Ross + Lindsay, we totally adore you and couldn’t be more grateful that you found us. Your wedding images are going to rock!
