Where do I even begin with this wedding? There was beauty to be found in every part of this day: the lovely outdoor ceremony, the full yellow bouquets that the pretty bridesmaids carried, the relationships between the groomsmen and Keith, the creative lemon centerpieces, Mia Mauer, the delicious mountain of cupcakes, sunshine on the lake, The goooorgeous Mauer sisters, Keith’s dad as his best man, Mia Mauer…. I haven’t even touched on half of it. It was a perfect day for a summer wedding and it was a joy to watch one of the world’s most beautiful brides walk down the grassy aisle and marry her dream man. I also just have to say that we were totally impressed with The Mauer & Heckendorf families, and all of the planning and care they put into the wedding. All the while we were so honored to have a part in this momentous event.
Prepare yourselves for images of an unforgettable union of two sweet people.

Mia’s mermaid style dress was Mori Lee.

Her shoes were by Caparros.

It was so sweet to see Keith’s soft side prior to the ceremony, he explained how he got choked up during his speech at the rehearsal dinner the night before. I so appreciate grooms that take the day seriously.

Mia’s make-up is by Dakota from MAC, hair is by Nichole Culla.

Mia was a calm bride and so easy-going, a dream to work with!

Everyone that walked into the bride’s room to see Mia looked a little something like this:

There are no words.

I couldn’t wait to photograph these girls because they obviously have so much fun together.

A favorite.

The bridesmaids wore a pair of sexy Nina shoes. I heart Nina shoes.

Guys like to take photos like this, I don’t know why, it’s got to be a guy thing. Happens every time.

My favorite of them.

They, of course, played a little football in their Calvin Klein tuxes. Keith, Mr. Mauer, and Mr. Heckendorf are all football coaches, how could they not have a football at the wedding?!

The QB giving the play in a huddle.

The luscious flower arrangements are from Saba Flowers.

Sisters. I’m just going to say it, they have the most amazing skin, hair, smiles, attitudes, I love the Mauer girls.

Mia’s dad came into the bride’s room to see her for the first time before the ceremony.

Mrs. Mauer. Now we all see where the girls get their looks from

Keith walking his mom down the aisle.

Keith’s dad, his best man gave him some love before Mia came down the aisle. So sweet!

I’m absolutely crazy about the way he’s looking at his bride. I also adore the way all of the Heckendorf boys are smiling at their first sister & daughter.

Exchanging vows.

I love how comfortable they together. I have so many more images that I can’t wait to share.

Congratulations to Keith & Mia, you are beautiful together.

Look out for a second post from Mia & Keith’s day later this weekend. You won’t want to miss the incredible evening that they hosted for their guests! Think 350 lemons, Lady Antebellum’s amazing music for the first dance, sparkly cupcakes, Michael Jackson’s dance moves from a cute little boy, and a yellow, black, & white guest candy bar.
Love,
Kate & Sam
